FP7 funds Combining economic, social and environmental objectives in a European perspective
Seventh Framework Programme for Research, "Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities" (SSH theme), Activity 2 "Combining economic, social and environmental objectives in a European perspective".
A total of around €11 million is foreseen to be available from the 2009 budget for this European research Activity. This Activity is structured into four Topics:
* New socio-economic concepts, paradigm shift and territorial dynamics (Topic 2.1.1)
* Cities and sustainable development (Topic 2.1.2)
* Impacts of corporate social responsibility (Topic 2.1.3)
* Social inequalities, their implications and policy options (Topic 2.2.1)

An Information Day will take place on 3 October 2008 (from 9.00 to 13.00) in Brussels at the European Economic and Social Committee, Rue Belliard 99, Room JDE62 (it is close to the metro station "Schuman").
