My own organisation and role:
I work as an intern for the United Nations University in Brugge where we are aiming to set up an RCE to focus on the Southern North Sea. Currently I am researching comunication and education techniques, as well as potential stakeholders and other RCEs.

I believe that RCEs have a unique potential to help and advise in sustainable development. I have a personal background in the environmental field, with a desire to work in teaching, so also feel that I would like to work for an RCE in the future.

In which Theme(s) of sustainable development is your RCE, Organisation or Network most involved?
We aim to initially focus on the development of business tools and youth integration, then move forward from these points.

Hi Matthew,
sorry to answer you late - but one of the main disadvantages of this site is that you do not see at a first glance new comments... Anyway, regarding the kick-off event: it was a great success - not necessarily because of quantity but of quality. we had several guest-speakers, the event took about 2h. As a result of the event, we already integrated some of the guests within two projects. Nevertheless, we started quite late with planning the kick-off... this has been a disadvantage when it comes to inviting Embassies, Foundations etc.
